Directions By Road

45 minutes from the centre of Cape Town.
20 minutes from Cape Town International Airport.
15 minutes from Somerset West.
The Airfield lies midway along the R44 between Stellenbosch and Somerset West.

Approaching from Somerset West:

Drive along the R44, continuing past the Mooiberge Farm Stall. About 1.5km after Mooiberge, there will be a road on your left (a sign for La Pineta is just before the turn off). Take that turn off, and continue on the tar road to the airfield.

Approaching from Stellenbosch:

Drive on the R44 towards Somerset West. Once you reach the Mooiberge Farm Stall, do a U-turn and continue along the R44 as if you were driving back into Stellenbosch. About 1km after Mooiberge, there will be a road on your left (a sign for La Pineta is just before the turn off). Take that turn off, and continue on the tar road to the airfield.

Approaching From Cape Town (via the N2):

You can either continue on the N2, and take the Somerset West off-ramp (go left). This will put you on the R44. Follow the directions above.

Alternatively, you can take the Baden Powell Drive off-ramp (turn left), and continue until you reach a 4-way robot. Turn right into Annandale Road, and continue until you reach the robot at the Mooiberge Farm Stall. Turn left onto the R44. About 1km after Mooiberge, there will be a road on your left (a sign for La Pineta is just before the turn off). Take that turn off, and continue on the tar road to the airfield.
