The Instrument rating allows the pilot to fly the aircraft with reference solely to the instruments in weather conditions that are below the minimum requirements to fly by VFR (Visual Flight Rules).

The rating can be completed as a single-engine or multi-engine IF Rating.

The Instrument Rating requires 40 Hrs of flying of which 20 is in the Simulator and 20 in the aircraft.

A test is done by a Designated Flight Examiner, DFE.

The Instrument Rating makes the Commercial Pilot's Licence more attractive to possible employers. Speak to us to schedule a meeting with our CFI to find out more.
