RESTRICTED & GENERAL RADIO LICENSE

A Restricted Radio Licence must be obtained before a student will be issued with a PPL.

A General Radio Licence is required in order to obtain a CPL (or ATPL).

The difference between the Restricted and General Radio Licences, is that the General Radio Licence builds on the knowledge gained during the Restricted Radio Licence course, and it focuses more on Instrument Flying, and the filing of IFR flight plans.

Both the Restricted and General Radio Licence courses are presented by a qualified and accredited Air Traffic Controller.
